New! ACCENTS OF EASTERN EUROPE - 2 Week Online Class led by Paula Vanlandingham, Professional Dialect Coach

This month’s accent focus is Eastern Europe. This region is populated by Slavic languages like Polish, Ukrainian, Yiddish, Serbo-Croatian, Bosnian, Czech, Russian and more.

These languages have several iconic features when filtering into spoken English for actors playing roles set in this region.

Always in high demand for historical pieces as well as events unfolding in the present day. Industry auditions are in heavy rotation right now for these accents.

No prior accent or language training or knowledge is necessary; beginners welcome.

We will introduce the accent basic sounds in the first session with opportunities for live practice, then follow up in the second week with time to try actual scenes in these accents!

This class is for adults and teens (13+).

• Arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event is slated to start. Your host will give important information about the event at this time.

Paula Vanlandingham

Paula is a linguist who has been coaching in film, TV, voice over and videogames for the last 12 years.

She trained at Lee Strasberg in NY and has a Master's degree is in Linguistic Anthropology as well. She speaks Spanish, French, German, Bosnian and Russian and is currently studying Italian.

Paula's worked on numerous TV/film productions and one of the films she coached won an Oscar in 2015 (British actor performing in American accent).

One of the most lucrative areas for her clients has been the voiceover and videogame industry.  The games she's coached have grossed over a billion dollars, with such marquis titles as Call of Duty, Wolfenstein II, Westworld, Star Wars Squadrons, and many others still in the pipeline!

Her mission is to get AS MANY ACTORS WORKING THIS YEAR AS POSSIBLE!
