New! Film & TV Masterseries: 2-Week Online Class with Anna Rocio Mendoza, Casting Associate, Atomic Honey Casting

We are excited to have Anna in teaching this new online Film and TV class!
1st generation Xicana, born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, Anna Rocío Mendoza was inspired by watching Telenovelas as a child. Her dream was to work in TV production, more specifically-- the goal was to get a job at the #1 Spanish language network, Univision.
Instead, she fell into casting as she took an internship that led her to start working with casting legend, Mary Jo Slater in 2012. Since then, she has worked for CD's G. Charles Wright, Rachel Tenner, and Bullock & Snow.
Currently, working for Atomic Honey Casting (Marisol Roncali & Chelsea Ellis Bloch) on a Disney+ feature.
EVENT OVERVIEW:
Over the course of two weeks, Anna will be working with you on how to bring your best work into your auditions. The goal will be to focus on what you have control over (presence, spontaneity, directability), and not the outcome of the audition.
Week 1 - Your Prepared Feature / TV / Indie Scene (no longer than 2 minutes)
Week 2 - Assigned Prepared Feature / TV / Indie Scene

WHAT TO PREPARE:
For this event, please bring in your own scene of choice (no more than 2 minutes in length) that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. If you do not have your own scene, you can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration).
Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.

Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by one hour before the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com.
