EVENT OVERVIEW:
This is a one-night online intensive that will help voice actors understand the fundamentals of creating a professional home studio, from equipment to software to where to record to soundproofing. 
 
- Learn the basic signal chain to get a voice successfully recorded 
 
- Becoming a proficient audio engineer; Stopping and starting takes, cutting together takes seamlessly, and understanding mastering basics.
 
- Understand the acoustic requirements of your space
 
- Learn the best location for a home studio, and the acoustic treatments needed
 
- Understand basic sound-proofing vs. acoustic treatment
 
- Recommended equipment and software required for recording
 
- How to handle common home recording problems

This intensive is for adults and teens (14+).

  • The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.

  • Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by one hour before the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com.

If you have an emergency for a class you are participating in outside of these hours, please email help@actorsconnection.com and your host will be able to respond.

Paul Liberti

Paul Liberti - Casting director and voice director for narration for THE RAZOR MAGAZINE.  Paul is an acting teacher who teaches all genres of voice over including Commercial VO, Animation, Video Game, Narration and Promo. Paul is co-creator of AuthorDirect Audio, which directs nonfiction reads for Audible.

Paul has taught for many University acting programs annually and teaches sold out competitive classes in New York City, Los Angeles, and nationally and also for the SAG/AFTRA Foundation.

Paul has worked as a dialect coach on film sets, Broadway and London's West End Theater, and Regional Theater with recent shows like Disney's Frozen, USA Network - Falling Water, The National Theater's - One Night in Miami, Greater Tuna, Anastasia, My Fair Lady, Carousel, Brigadoon and many others.

Paul has been a voice actor for Pokemon, Blues Clues, Noggin's Pinky Dinky Doo, Saturday Night Live Cartoons, and Sesame Street and Jim Henson’s Muppets. He is currently the voice of Curious George & The Man In The Yellow Hat.
