You'll get immediate feedback on your performance so you can continue to make smarter and more powerful choices in this ever-changing career.

You'll also receive written feedback that will be given to you after the event to provide even more clarity on your work.

You will be emailed your assigned studio the morning of your event.

EVENT OVERVIEW:

This in-person event will start with a 20-30 minute Q&A with everyone in the studio.

Afterwards, you will be showcasing to the panel by appointment. Q&A is optional to attend but we recommend.

You'll get immediate feedback on your performance so you can continue to make smarter and more powerful choices in this ever-changing career.

You'll also receive written feedback that you will get after the event to provide even more clarity on your work.

You’ll be given your appointment times in advance in EST.

Please show up at least 10-15 minutes before your scheduled time, and please be aware that timing issues can occur but your host will keep you updated while you are waiting.

We kindly ask that you do not request to alter your appointment time.

WHAT TO PREPARE:

For this Agent Showcase, please prepare TWO contrasting 32 bar cuts. Please bring your book. An accompanist will be provided.

Ben Jordan

Ben Jordan (Partner, SVP of Talent):  Born and raised on the backroads of Alabama, Ben got his first taste of the entertainment industry from Blue Grass Revivals at community fish fries.  While attending The University of Alabama, he promoted several indie rock-n-roll bands.  

After graduating and moving to New York City, he began managing stand-up comedians.  In 2011, Ben began interning at Headline Talent Agency, and shortly thereafter, he was asked to join the HTA team as an assistant.  From there, Ben was promoted to Junior Talent Agent, then to Senior Agent and Partner. Headline Talent Agency represents award-winning creatives in Television, Film, and Theater in New York, Los Angeles, Asia, and the UK. They intentionally maintain a small, curated roster so that they may guide their clients through successful careers of impactful storytelling. 

Mikey Nagy

Mikey Nagy is an owner/agent at one of NYC’s newest boutique agencies – The Collective.

After working nearly ten years in the agenting world, he decided to take a leap of faith during the pandemic to start his own office. At The Collective, clients are represented for film, television, and theatre.

Mikey holds a BFA in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Piano from Shenandoah Conservatory. 

Nicole Redifer

Nicole Redifer is the Associate Talent Agent for UIA Talent Agency’s Theatre, Film/TV, and Literary Divisions. She started out as an intern at UIA in 2020, eventually joining the team full-time in 2021. Her responsibilities include coordinating auditions with actors and casting directors, managing UIA’s social media, and scouting new talent for the roster.

In 2020, Nicole co-founded The Masked Collective, a virtual theatre company, to create opportunities for artists while live theatre was closed during the pandemic. During this time, they produced exclusively new works, including a song cycle, a short play festival, and a cabaret. Other recent work includes interning at Studio Theatre in their Casting Department and working as a talent intern at The Production Exchange in the United Kingdom.

Nicole earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from James Madison University, with minors in Sociology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. While there, she was able to take on roles as a theatre director, producer, dramaturg, and performer. Her multifaceted background allows her to serve the diverse needs of the roster.
