In Person: NETFLIX TV Casting Director Event - Showcase to THREE top TV Casting Professionals

When it comes to streaming media, Netflix is the indisputable king.
With more original content than Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and Disney Plus, Netflix series provide talent with incredible opportunities to grow both as actors and to build their credits.
We're excited to have THREE top Casting pro's who have cast for a wide variety of NETFLIX TV series and features.
This event will start off with a Q&A. Then, you'll then be showcasing in a group format to our panel. You'll work with a reader and get immediate feedback on your performance so you can continue to make smarter and more powerful choices in this ever-changing career.

You will be emailed your assigned studio the morning of your event.

What to Prepare:
For this event, please bring in your own 2-3 page scene of choice that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. If you do not have your own scene, you can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration).
Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

Mia Cusumano
Mia is a three time Artios Award nominated Casting Director, winning for her work on The Trial of The Chicago 7.
Over the past 20 years in casting; some of her more notable projects include Ramy(Hulu), The Leftovers(HBO), Paterson, She Said, The Trial of the Chicago 7(Netflix).
Among many TV series, Mia has also cast numerous independent films, including The Throwback (releasing this March) Bruiser (TIFF) Lez Bomb, Doctor Doctor, Paint (Sundance).
Mia began her career as the Casting Coordinator for ABC's Primetime Casting Office.
She is currently casting five films and about to start on an yet to be announced Amazon series.
Mia resides in New York City.
Liz Ortiz
Liz is a NYC based casting director and award winning indie film producer/director credited on projects which have screened at hundreds of film festivals such as Sundance, Tribeca, BAM Cinemafest, Toronto, IRIS Prize, Brooklyn, Palm Springs, Austin, American Black, HBO Latino, NY Latino, Queen’s World, Reel Sisters, Harlem and Urban World among others.
Projects have aired on CBS, HBO, Apple TV, Amazon, Showtime, Netflix, Lifetime Movies and Cinemax. Casting and producing highlights include: Advantageous (Sundance award winner, Independent Spirit nominee, Barrio Boy (Amazon,AppleTV); And... Seen (writer/producer/director) a feature documentary commenting on misperceptions of disability in the entertainment industry.
Liz cast the pilot for the multi-cultural animated series Mine official selection Tribeca Film Festival, casting and executive producer for Stateside, short film in post, casting consultant for A Perfect Crime, off broadway’s longest running show and attached to cast/produce the feature film Become American by award winning screenwriter Maryam Myika Day. She also casts special projects for various university film departments and festivals.
Liz is an in house casting director and on the faculty of Stonestreet Studios/NYU, casts for the Department of Cinematography at New York Film Academy and enjoys giving live and virtual workshops for Princeton University, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, SAG-AFTRA Foundation, The LINK Program and other professional actor training programs.
Adrienne Stern
With top agency and management relationships, Adrienne Stern is known for working closely with Directors and Producers to secure the types of casts that open doors to major film festivals and distribution packages. She is very DIRECT with her feedback in the room. Her films have premiered at Sundance, Toronto, Cannes, Tribeca, Berlin, South by Southwest, Seattle and many other prominent film festivals, many taking home prestigious awards.
Adrienne is actively auditioning and meeting talent for several 2019 projects. She just wrapped feature films Bars and Martin Eden, in addition to St. Clement's production of The Bigot now running Off-Broadway. She is currently casting five features, plus a new series entitled Coyote Runway (based on the film Stealing Chanel).

Television credits include: the New York casting for That 70’s Show (responsible for casting Ashton Kutcher), Welcome to Greenpoint for FX and Cop Show (starring and written by Colin Quinn, running now on L/Studio (http://www.lstudio.com/cop-show).
Adrienne has also worked on various commercials, including the Dove Real Beauty Campaign, LaMer, Samsung, Philips Norelco, American Express, D'Angelo, Kool-aid Zola Wedding, Samsung, Lola, and many more.
Ms. Stern was the Casting Director of The New York Sundance Writers Lab Reading Series from 1996-2005, and has been on both the selection committee and jury for the Gen Art Film Festival. She is a member of BAFTA, IFP, CSA, New York Women in Film and Television and Ensemble Studio Theatre. She also sits on the Board of The Greenwich International Film Festival and The First Time Fest.
