An award-winning casting director and former agent, Jen casts for film, TV, theater, voiceover/animation and commercials for the New York, Los Angeles and Albuquerque markets.

For this commercial VO intensive, she will share tips from casting such popular VO spots like Charmin, HomeGoods, Porsche and more.  

She'll send you select COMMERCIAL VO COPY in advance for you. You'll have the opportunity to really hone your skills where she'll give you extensive re-directs to help you perfect your next audition.

All work is in a group format so you can not only benefit from your own feedback, but from watching other artists work as well.

For this intensive, Jen uses her book - CONFESSIONS OF A CASTING DIRECTOR. Students are recommended to read it in advance but it's not a requirement.

Jen was a casting executive at the Walt Disney Company from 2002 until 2009. While there, she conducted talent searches across the United States, identifying and hiring actors who went on to star on Broadway in The Lion KingMary Poppins, and The Little Mermaid and in beloved Disney movies like The IncrediblesThe Princess and the FrogChicken Little, and Brother Bear.

She is a two-time recipient of the prestigious Casting Society of America Artios award, receiving the award for Best Animation Feature casting for The Princess and the Frog (2010) and Chicken Little (2005.) As owner of Jen Rudin Casting, Jen has cast numerous animated feature films, projects for Disney Channel and popular TV and radio campaigns for Charmin, Porsche, HomeGoods and the famous “Can You Hear Me, Now” campaign for Verizon.

Recent projects include: DEAD END: PARANORMAL PARK (Netflix), ARCANE (Netflix), and the animated fantasy comedy film WISH DRAGON (Sony/Netflix).

Currently, Jen is interested in meeting talent of all types and ethnicities (18+) for current and future projects.

Limited to 12 voice over actors.

This intensive is for adults (18+).

WHAT TO PREPARE:

Based on your HS/resume, Jen will select commercial copy for you which will be emailed to you to prepare in 1-3 days in advance. PLEASE NOTE: Once scenes have been distributed, if you late cancel you will not be replaced!

Jen Rudin

Jen Rudin is an award-winning casting director, author and audition coach who began her decades-long career in show business as a professional child actor at age eight. She is the proud author of Confessions of a Casting Director: Help Actors Land Any Role with Secrets From Inside the Audition Room (HarperCollins) and the host of the Confessions of a Casting Director popular podcast. In 2020, Jen joined ICM Partners to establish a formal Animation VO department. While at ICM, Rudin shepherded significant animated feature deals for such clients as Lucy Liu, Wanda Sykes, Samuel L. Jackson, Rachel Zegler, Alan Cumming, Catherine O’Hara, Nathan Lane, Lana Condor, Stephanie Beatriz, Jason Ritter, and Cathy Ang. In addition, Jen signed popular Peloton instructor Tunde Oyeneyin across the board. She was instrumental in closing Tunde’s book deal with Simon & Schuster and securing a branding partnership with Nike. In 2022, she joined APA (now IAG) to launch their VO department, bringing animation and VO opportunities to their client list. In 2024, Jen decided to move back into casting.

Jen is a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received an MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU. She lives in New York City with her husband and spends her free time running in Central Park.
