New! In Person: MUSICAL THEATER Masterclass with GAYLE SEAY, Artistic Director, Stages St. Louis

Thursday, February 27, 2025, 7pm ET / 4pm PT

A former NY casting director, Gayle is currently the artistic director of Stages St Louis. 

Their upcoming 2025 season includes Murder for Two, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and the pre-Broadway production of Austen’s Pride!  

She directed the 2022 Award winning production of A Chorus Line at STAGES and Jersey Boys in 2024 at Riverside Theatre. She was also a co-producer of The Cottage on Broadway in 2023.

For this Master Class, please prepare two "short" contrasting songs (32 bars). Please also have your list of songs/book available as Gayle might want to hear more.

The evening will start off with a Q & A, and then each actor will perform for Gayle using your prepared material in a group format.  She will coach, give direction and offer honest, constructive feedback on your audition material if what you are currently using doesn't “work".

Gayle is interested in working with actors of ALL TYPES - ALL AGES (13+).

An accompanist will be provided.

Gayle Seay

Gayle is currently the artistic director of Stages St Louis. Their 2025 season includes Murder for Two, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and the pre-Broadway production of Austen’s Pride! 

As a performer she was seen on Broadway, tours, regional theatres, symphonies, cruise ships, commercials, TV, print, films and more. When she hung up her dance shoes she became a casting director in NYC and co-owned a successful casting office for over a dozen years casting National tours of Motown the Musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rent, Kinky Boots, Rock of Ages and more as well as TV, Indie film and commercial print.
