Xavier Rubiano (he/him) is a Partner and Co-Owner of The TRC Company.

A proud New Yorker and first-generation Colombian American, he studied Dance and Musical Theater at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, founded by Tony Bennett, in Astoria, Queens, NY and earned a BFA in Musical Theater and then started casting in 2011.

For The TRC Company, Xavier has cast the Broadway Productions of Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends, Buena Vista Social Club & The Outsiders. 

For Tara Rubin Casting, he has cast Here Lies Love, Bob Fosse's Dancin', The Phantom Of The Opera& Dear Evan Hansen.

For this Master Class, please prepare two "short" contrasting songs (16 or 32 bars). Please also have your list of songs/book available as he might want to hear more.

Each participant will perform for Xavier using your prepared material in a group format.  He will coach, give direction and offer honest, constructive feedback on your audition material if what you are currently using doesn't “work". The evening will finish with a Q&A.

Xavier is interested in working with adults of all types - all ethnicities (18+).

An accompanist will be provided.

You will be emailed your assigned studio the morning of your event.

  • Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

  • Arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event is slated to start. Your host will give important information about the event at this time.

  • Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by 12pm (EST) the day-of the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com at least one hour PRIOR to the start of class.

Xavier Rubiano

Xavier Rubiano (he/him) is a Partner and Co-Owner of The TRC Company.

A proud New Yorker and first-generation Colombian American, he studied Dance and Musical Theater at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, founded by Tony Bennett, in Astoria, Queens, NY and earned a BFA in Musical Theater from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC and LA.

Xavier started his casting career in 2011 where he had his first internship at Clemmons/Dewing Casting. He continued to assist Joy Dewing when she started her new business, Joy Dewing Casting, as a monitor at her open calls and she brought him on as an apprentice in 2013. He became her Casting Assistant in 2014. Xavier has also interned at Stewart/Whitley and apprenticed at their office in May of 2016. He went from a Casting Assistant to Casting Director at Tara Rubin Casting from August 2016 through December 2024.

For The TRC Company, Xavier has cast the Broadway Productions of Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends, Buena Vista Social Club & The Outsiders. For Tara Rubin Casting, he has cast Here Lies Love, Bob Fosse's Dancin', The Phantom Of The Opera& Dear Evan Hansen.

Xavier is a proud member of the Casting Society. He has received five Artios nominations and won the 2025 Artios Award for Outstanding Achievement in Casting of a Broadway Musical for The Outsiders, as well as the 2022 Artios Associate Spotlight Award.
