Actors Connection welcomes one of our favorite CD's to teach a new COMEDY FOR TELEVISION class! Prior to her working on UGLY BETTY, Candice worked with many high profile casting directors in the City including Julie Tucker, Kim Miscia, Beth Bowling and Gayle Keller. The class will begin with a Q&A where Candice will discuss the intricacies and differences of auditioning for sit-coms, specifically addressing single-camera vs. multi-camera auditions. Then it is right to the work! Based on your HS/resume, in week #1 Candice will focus on ‘cold' comedic sides that you will receive the night of the first class. For the following week, she will give you sides that will be prepared in advanced and brought in for critique and adjustments. Together, you and Candice will decide which sides will be used for your "callback" for the final class. At the beginning of week #3, you will have a final "run-through" of the sides you selected for any final adjustments. Candice will be inviting an additional industry guest to view your work after your brief work session! The opportunity to work in sit-coms is RARE in New York, so this is a great opportunity to fine-tune your comedic skill set and get ahead of the rest!
