Here's an incredible opportunity to meet and work with one of NY's TOP Casting Directors for film, TV and theater! Get ready to work as this intensive is structured to fine-tune your film/TV audition skill set and help you book that next role! For this event, James will provide you with a variety of scenes to choose from a few days before the intensive. You are to prepare one scene that you feel represents you. For the intensive, you'll start off with a Q&A, and then James will begin working with you with a reader, on-camera, in a group format. Be prepared for feedback and adjustments as James will coach and critique your work, tweak your material and share invaluable information. Currently, James is casting "Army Wives" for Lifetime TV and just finished work on the Army Wives spin-off. Upcoming for Broadway: Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Venus in Fur, and Sleuth; Also CSC Rep, Rattle Stick, and Long Wharf. Upcoming Films include: That's What She Said and Jaime Marks is Dead. He cast 10 seasons for Playwrights Horizons as well as seasons for Long Wharf, Flea, CSC Rep, Soho Rep, Naked Angels, New Georges, and stageFARM. Currently, he casts for Fuerza Bruta (the new show from the creators of De La Guarda) and the upcoming Three Sisters with Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard. ***Your scene will be video taped as a digital file. James Calleri

James Calleri along with his partners Paul Davis and Erica Jensen run Calleri Casting. They have been awarded 14 Artios Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Casting. James proudly serves on the Board of the Casting Society of America. He is an Associate Professor of Theater at Columbia University School of the Arts where he heads the MFA Graduate Acting program. He is the co-author with Robert Cohen of ACTING PROFESSIONALLY: RAW FACTS ABOUT CAREERS IN ACTING published by Palgrave MacMillan, in its eighth edition it is one of the leading books in the country for young actors. James resides in New York City and Saugerties, New York.
