We have “Shark Tank” for aspiring entrepreneurs, and “American Idol” for singers, but what about those of us who act? Enter stage right: Battle Acts, where co-creator Philip Galinsky likes to say, “actors act their acts off and audiences make a new star.” 

Film/Television and stage actors will duke it out at Chelsea Music Hall for crowning titles, bragging rights, and cash prizes. The contestants will be judged by a studded lineup of industry professionals and a live audience.

Hosted by the Galinsky Brothers, whose long-running Manhattan Monologue Slam became a staple of the New York City acting community and was touted by the New York Times as "performers looking for that fabled big break are squaring off against one another in a flurry of monologues, with industry professionals sitting as judges," Battle Acts brings together stage and film actors who go head-to-head in front of celebrity and industry insiders in an evening of raucous, fast-paced performances to be crowned the "Battle Acts Champ."

Battle Acts, is an opportunity for emerging actors to perform for industry professionals each and every month by providing a panel of judges consisting of agents, casting directors, producers and the like, offering valuable advice and critiques of the performers.

This free seminar will cover how actors leverage their performance into success landing agents, talent managers and booking their own work!

The seminar will also cover how to make your monologue more active.

Philip Galinsky

Philip Galinsky is an actor, writer, producer, story teller and voice over artist.  He and his brother are rebooting their critically acclaimed downtown theatre smash show from The Manhattan Monologue Slam tBattleActsLive.com
 
He has been serving the NYC acting community for over 10 years with his groundbreaking monthly networking actor showcase.  It is a rare opportunity for emerging actors to perform for industry professionals each and every month by providing a panel of judges consisting of agents, casting directors, producers and the like, offering valuable advice and critiques of the performers.  

He just recently completed his run of his unauthorized Netflix comedy special PHILIP GALINSKY is Triggered, live in NYC.  Which is now available in paperback and audio book.  He has appeared on Comedy Central, MTV, A&E, Law & Order SVU as well as many streaming platforms.  
 
He is the lead kidnapper in the video game, Grand Theft Auto 5, kidnapping Jonah Hill.   He is also the birthday cake stealing bear on Dora The Explorer.  He is the cofounder of the downtown NYC theatre smash spectacular the Manhattan Monologue Slam and National Monologue Slam.
