Michael W. Rodriguez is the owner and head of talent at THE ROSTER AGENCY.
The Roster’s clients can be seen in theaters all around the world as well as on Broadway in Aladdin, Book of Mormon, TINA: The Tina Turner Musical, Harry Potter, Hamilton, Heart of Rock & Roll and internationally on London’s West End with starring roles in CLUELESS, The Devil Wears Prada, The King & I, Aladdin, Mack & Mable and The Prince of Egypt.
Additionally, The Roster has an ever-expanding presence on TV and in Film as seen with a series-regulars on Comedy Central’s “Awkwafina is Nora From Queens”, and “Sesame Street”! Other TV successes include client’s appearances on The Equalizer, FBI, Law & Order’s, Blue Bloods, Blacklist, Pose, Madame Secretary, New Amsterdam, & Gotham among others.
Michael is currently interested in meeting all types, all ethnicities, and all ages (18+).

You will be emailed your assigned studio the morning of your event.

WHAT TO PREPARE:
For this event, please bring in a song OR your own scene of choice (no more than 2 minutes in length) that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. If you do not have your own scene, you can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration).
IN ADDITION: Please bring TWO HARD COPIES of your scene - one highlighted FOR THE READER
If you choose to do a scene, please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.

Michael Rodriguez
Michael W. Rodriguez is the owner and head of talent at THE ROSTER AGENCY. Michael’s history as an agent started at Hartig/Hilepo and includes time at DGRW. He then launched and ran the legit division of an internationally franchised talent company before founding The Roster Agency in 2008.

Michael is known for cultivating Broadway’s up and coming stars and is well established in TV/Film on both coasts. He began his career at Atlantic Records in New York City in 1990 after receiving his BFA in Theatre from Southwest Texas State University. As a Product Manager for Atlantic, he worked on albums for Mick Jagger, Bette Midler, Hootie and The Blowfish, Stone Temple Pilots, Tori Amos, Jewel, Everything But The Girl and Phil Collins among others. He was featured in Billboard Magazine for his excellence in niche marketing for the album “Sensual Classics”. In the Fall of 1996, he founded MWR, ink. This independent record promotions company serviced many accounts including Celine Dion and Lonnie Gordon. In 1999 Michael joined Indie giant TVT Records as Promotion Department Manager and worked with artists Snoop Dogg, Nine Inch Nails and Lil’ John.
Michael does Master Classes at NYU, Tisch, Stone Street, Pace, Belmont, and Shenandoah University. In addition to being a talent agent, he has also been a judge for the Miss Universe Pageants for North Carolina, South Carolina and Louisiana, with one Miss USA winner in 2005!
